Lunar Eclipse on June 15, 2011

It was the longest Lunar Eclipse after many years here in India, and i was ready to capture the moon making transitions. Clicked the moon at different positions during the eclipse and had to change the shutter, aperture and ISO a lot during the shoot to compensate for the varying light of the moon. Tried different shots like the Wide angle, moon trail, moon ring etc but did little processing to produce the following image.

The Moon during Lunar Eclipse

EXIF:

Canon 500D at F varying from F/5.6 to F/11, shutter from 1/160 to 3 secs

ISO-400 at 250mm focal length

What i liked:

  • Needless to say, the transition of the moon at different times.
